There is no on-site registration available for the symposium or the field trip. Space is limited for the panels and especially the field trip - we encourage you to sign up early! Additional registrants will be placed on a waiting list in the order received.
 

Symposium Information

Participation fees for the panels include:

• Access to 2 concurrent sessions with presentations and panel discussions over 2 days (Monday, June 8 - Tuesday, June 9)
• Daily refreshments, lunches, and a dinner for all participants on Monday evening
• Transportation to/from selected hotels (see the Accommodations section) and Tallinn Technical University (the venue for the panel sessions)
• Transportation to/from the dinner venue and selected hotels

Participants are responsible for paying for their own lodging during the symposium in Tallinn, June 8-9. We have secured discounted rates at a number of hotels in the area. Please book your hotel reservations under our “Accommodations” section to take advantage of these discounts. Free transport to/from the symposium and the dinner will only be arranged for the hotels included in the “Accommodations” section.

Symposium Fees:

• Early registration (November 17 - April 1): 200 EUR
• Late registration (April 2 - April 20): 250 EUR
• Extended registration (April 21 - May 22): 275 EUR
• Students (masters and doctoral only): 150 EUR

Field trip registration is only open until April 30!

Field Trip Information

The Symposium offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the most prominent sites of the Estonian oil shale industry as well as to get insights into the operation of the companies. The number of participants will be limited on a first come-first served basis. We encourage those interested to sign up early!

Lectures and tours in the heart of the Estonian oil shale industry will include:

• Above and below ground mining sites
• The world’s largest oil shale fuelled power plants
• A commercial shale oil plant
• Presentations by, and an unparalleled opportunity to meet and consult the CEO’s and experts of the companies operating the sites
• Overnight lodging at a spa hotel (Wednesday, June 10^th only)
• All meals and snacks, including a field trip group dinner
• Transportation from Tallinn to Eastern Estonia, and back to Tallinn

Field Trip Fees:

• Field trip - accommodation - Hotel Meresuu: 209 EUR
• Field trip - accommodation - Hotel Narva-Jõesuu: 168 EUR

NB! To register for the field trip during early registration (November 17-April 1), participants must also register to attend the symposium. If you want to register for ONLY the field trip, you can have your name added to the wait list duringearly registration or register directly during late registration. However space is limited and preference will be given to those attending the symposium as well.
